If you are going to the International DX Convention at Visalia this coming weekend - what do you plan to do? There are over 700 going, and more than 100 attending the DX Academy.

I will be:

- Teaching a class in the DX Academy
- Most likely going to the Top Band Dinner
- Hanging out with Bob, KK6EK and Cordell Expeditions
- Going to look at the Kenwood TS-990s with a full body drool bib on
- Look at the Elecraft KX-3
- Look at any of the antenna manufacturers and their products
- Look forward to Paul, N6PSE's Intrepid Big Announcement
- Look forward to the "last man standing" at the Saturday night Banquet
- Look for friends and meet those I have never met in person
- Drink a few beers with said friends

I'm really looking forward to this years International DX Convention in Visalia, CA this coming weekend.

Last years IDXC was just a blur for me. We learned on the way to Visalia that the 7O6T license was issued to Dima-RA9USU and we spent most of that weekend on Skype with Dima still in Yemen, building the 7O6T team and gathering equipment to bring for our flights just a few days later. I really did not get to visit/chat with others or see the talks and new gear. So this year, I am going to enjoy the event to its fullest. I'll take in every talk that I can and check out all the new gear. I will be leading the DX forum on Saturday and I am really looking forward to all of the great fun that this event involves. Hope to see you there!

I just looked at the presentation schedule. Wow - lots of really great stuff. I'm especially interested in 7O6T, ZL9HR, TX5K and Dean Straw, N6BV's two HFTA presentations. There seems to be something really interesting every hour every day there.

Learn, Learn, Learn and just have fun!  Grin I've signed up for the DX Academy on Friday so I'm looking forward to that. And it will be great attending all the seminars on Saturday. And I'll probably just get depressed looking at all the equipment I wish I had but can't afford Smiley But I think the most fun will be seeing some old friends and hopefully meeting some new ones. See you there!

I will be driving down early Saturday morning primarily to check out the vendors. I'm looking to buy an amp and hope to check out the Alpha and Array Solutions booths.

Other than that I just plan to hang around. This is my first trip to the IDXC.

I plan to drive back Saturday evening and probably won't attend the banquet.
