Flash is not supported on iPads/iPhones. Maybe see here http://ipad.about.com/od/Productivity-Apps/tp/How-To-Play-Flash-On-The-iPad.htm for possible workarounds.

Good luck!

yes

yes

While Apple refuses to support Flash (because they want you use/buy their content) they does support Java because it would hurt them  lot in market place if they did not. BTW IOS is only main stream tablet/smart phone OS that does not support flash

Not as it comes from Apple anyway. Will Apple does not support it, it is possible to install support for it. Microsoft has not supported Java for many years too but it is easy to install.

Actually, java is a dying platform on the user side, i.e. JavaSE (still popular on servers though, JavaEE).  iOS, Android, and Windows RT (i.e. the Surface) don't have a JVM (Android is actually programmed in Java, but cant run JavaSE apps).  The Surface pro is intel windows so you can install Java there.  Flash is also getting less supported, but not as bad as Java.  Flash has never been supported on iOS, it is no longer supported on Android.  Flash does work on both versions of Windows though.

That's technically true.  It's possible to run any Unix application on a jailbroken iOS device, if it is compiled properly.
