The latest gossip I got from Kenwood at Hamvention is that they have some more rigs in pipeline. The 990 is selling very well and Kenwood wants even more of the pie. There is "talk" of a new 800 series rig, a new dual band mobile with built in GPS and a possible TS-2000 replacement.

Sounds like I need to start saving my money. Like my 480HX but I am always willing to look. I have recently been thinking of buying a 2000 again for the 2 meter and 440 only.

The dual band rig should be out soon. No time line on others yet.
