Is this worth getting?

Does it have any effect on reducing static from lightning?

Will it help reduce noise on the VLF bands? (100 Khz 500 Khz)

Any other details to help me decide would be great. I would be using it with the Yaesu Ft-5000MP.

Thanks

Have you considered a receive only antenna such as a beverage or pixel?  I don't have the room for a beverage but I'm trying a Pixel receive antenna.  I just put it up so I'm not well versed on it's performance sorry but it sure quiets down the lower bands.

Well, it's just a high Q RF pre-selector or bandpass filter.  Silver plating the coil is a nice touch for reducing surface oxidation, but hardly makes a difference in signal attenuation.

I think my money would be better spent on more useful accesories.
