      Looking for a service tech who still works on Hammarlund gear. Have a HQ-170 that needs alignment and brought to spec.Anyone have a name?

  I can probably help you with what you need. . . . I own a few of these hammarlunds. . .

  But. . .

  They are not that hard at all to align. . .contrary to what most people think. . .

  By the time a person pays shipping on a 40 pound radio to and from. . .with insurance. . . and paying someone, the cost is rising.

   Like i said. . .I can do it for you. . .but I bet I can talk you through it, if you have a ANALOG VM (not digital), and a signal source of 455kc,  60kc, and 3.035mhz.

   The manual has an excellent alignment procedure, not hard to follow.

Tom Senne of Dayton, ohio went through my hq 170 that I bought off of ebay.  It works great.  He knows what he is doing and I would use him again if I bought another boatanchor.  He does not work on transmitters .
