I have a Kenwood TS 700A that I use on a daily basis. I installed a CommSpec TE 12p and have no problem working the repeaters in the 146 to 147 mhz range. The problem is, I can't work repeaters in the 144 to 145 mhz range. Is there a kit available that will allow me to modify my radio to work with the repeaters in the 144 to 145 mhz frequencies? If not a kit, are instructions available that would tell me what to modify and how to modify it?

Thanks John

There used to be a conversion kit available from Kenwood years (and years) ago, but the chances of finding one now are between slim and none.  There were coils and a crystal added in the conversion.  Perhaps the schematic is available; I don't know.

It would probably be fiscally wiser just to purchase another 2M radio for the lower repeaters and enjoy the TS-700 the way it is.

Cheers!
