HRO sells the Green Light Labs, GPS-710 for usage with the Kenwood TM-710A radio.

This GPS-710 uses the 20 channel SiRF-III GPS receiver (a very good unit).

Have you contacted your HRO store or Green Light Labs??

"It stop working.,blinking" doesn't tell us much.
  1. Did it ever work for you?
  2. Did it, when you hit the POS button, display your current position?
  3. If not, did you turn the GPS unit on in the 710?

That'll do for a start.  The Green Light Labs GPS is a good one, but you have to remember that if you do a full upload of frequencies to the 710 with a BLANK format screen, then you'll also have to go back in and enable the GPS, input your callsign, etc.  I've gotten caught by that a few (well, more than a few, really ;-0 ) times.

If I did a full reset, would
that work.

Possibly.  Have you tried that?  What happened.  Also, remember to plug in BOTH cables to the GPS... the power AND the data cable.

also what gps do you use? and how do you connect it to the 710  What GPS and what cable or cord do i use?

Go to the GLL website and look at their instructions. They're pretty clear.  If you don't have both of the cables, then give GLL a call, and see if they'll sell you some replacements.

By the way, did you purchase this new from HRO or used?

It happens.  IF you had skipped calling the mfg. support -- you would have never known!
