For me its the Yaesu FT920, think it worked as good as it looked, i brought one about 5 years ago as used it some but had all ICOM stuff at the time, when a new HAM was looking for a good radio I sold it to him to get him started on the right foot, that ham told me a while back he had over 2000 confirmed DX contacts with it. They do work well for sure! Have a Kenwood TS590 and it looks all right in my shack but the FT920 looked awesome in the shack in same place at night!........KB6HRT

I think I4EAT uses a 920 also. That's an endorsement if I've ever seen one.

Because it's butt-ugly and plain looking?

Icom 7800 Lots of Kenwood - TS870, 830, 940 FT1000D
then thinks got weird (read cluttered)
TS990 FTDX9000
I don't find any of the TenTec gear appealing.
Currently I run a Yaesu FT990. While old, the control feel like I'm driving a Cadillac.

While I find it a real stretch for any radio to be considered "beautiful" I always thought my dad's old Marauder was interesting to look at in a 1950's refrigerator sort of way. http://rigreference.com/en/rig/5064-Heathkit_HX_10_Marauder2 tone green with lots of chrome.

I love the looks of my TS-520S and TS-530S. I drooled over these radios when I was a kid and they were new. Now I own a mint example of each one and I still love them...

That model 1927 is a work of art. I can just imagine the challenges back then to fit all that stuff in that little chassis. Kind of like a 1927 version of the 817nd.

For sheer beauty, the Collins S line. Never went for girls with a lot of glitter and glitz. The S line fits my 80 year old girl taste. 73, Russ
