Yes, I know - the radio had a lot of flaws. But warts and all, I love(d) it and would like to get it repaired.

Not sure what happened - or why - but when I fired up the little square box a few days ago, the freq display read 49.999 MHz. All the memory freqs were gone & any attempt to restore them failed. I checked the little button battery and found it was totally dead. Aha, I thought, but no...replacing the battery did not fix the problem.

If anyone knows of a repairman for these rigs I'm all ears.

John, after replacing the lithium battery the manual states " Hold MEM button down while turning power on at the  same time to restore factory presets to memory."- maybe this will help.

Make sure all of your edge connectors are well seated John. And then reperform the reset.
Cute little rigs. I backlit mine and had loads of fun with it.
