My earlier request on this item looks like it has played out.  I have a new computer and a newly downloaded edition of HRD/DM780.  It is ver5.22, still the freeware it started out to be.  When I try to get an existing adif loaded into the newly downloaded logbook, I get a greyed out screen that will not accept any characters to be entered into the file field.  Does anyone have a clue as to what I am doing wrong?

To import records into the log, left click where it says "Logbook" at the top of the screen then go down to where it says "Import" and select ADIF. Then navigate to the folder where your log file is located.

As posted in response to your last request on this subject:  Do you already have a log file opened in HRD Logbook?  If you are attempting to import an ADIF file, you first need to have a log file already opened in HRD so that it knows where to import the ADIF data.

If this is a brand new log file, then simply create a new log file in HRD Logbook (File, Open Database, Create New Database), and then go through the steps to import the ADIF file.
