I too am kind of shocked that eham would let this crook advertize here .....?
For those of you who did not see this one yet this poor fellow from the UK was so upset with radio-mart he posted a U-Tube video of what he thought he ordered and what he was actually sent. ( how to spot a counterfeit Icom microphone ). See : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1T3jn-YudJI
If you go to the radio-mart web site you can see : http://www.radio-mart.net/Yeticom-Optima.html
Radio-mart clearly states the one he is selling is a "Japan" model and not the cheap "Chinese" version, Vastly Superior he says. If you look at his picture of the rear of the mic you can see the word "Japan" clearly on the back. Now watch the u-tube video and see what radio-mart sent him ( there is no "Japan" on the back )
When I spoke to Icom they told me if the mic did not say either Japan or China on the back and was unmarked it is a COUNTERFEIT product and does not come from Icom.
I find it interesting that this is not the first time radio-mart has been accused of selling counterfeit products. See : http://www.amazon.com/gp/aag/main?ie=UTF8&asin=&isAmazonFulfilled=&isCBA=&marketplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER&orderID=&seller=A3QII02QYZ1XLB
If you click on "see all feedback" and read for a few pages you will find two other different people that have accused him of selling counterfeit Sennheiser headphones and demanding their money back.
