Hi, The CAT interface for the TS-850 is pretty expensive as far as CAT cables go, Is it possible to make one of these cables up using a cheap FTDI USB cable off ebay and cutting one end and attaching a 6 pin din?

Thanks Carl.

Not sure if what you want to do will work. However aftermarket interfaces are still being made http://www.g4zlp.co.uk/unified/KenwoodCAT.shtml. The price is $42 USD.

This is a great cable works 100% every time I used one for for over 6 years with my 850 before I upgraded to the TS-590.
