When I was a newly licensed general and later advanced class in the late 1960s and early 1970s, I had many, many pleasant 15 meter SSB QSOs with Tom, WB6WTC, in Long Beach, Calif. I was a teenager but Tom always treated me on the air like an adult. He was a great conversationalist. He was a West Virginia native and talked about stopping in Kentucky to meet me while on one of his long drives back home to visit family. But we never got a chance to meet face-to-face. After a few years, we lost touch and in the days before the Internet, the Radio Amateur Callbook was all we had. Tom's call disappeared from the callbook many years ago and I never knew what became of him.

Anyone have any information on WB6WTC in Long Beach from 35+ years ago?
