Just wondering if anybody has one of these and could tell me the tuning rate steps in "fast" and "slow" ...especially on the AM broadcast band...can't seem to find a spec anywhere.  TNX.

I had the S350DL which was a better radio. Problem was that the 350 was not PLL. Also did not do SSB. Not sure of the 450 does SSB. I just sold my 350 and purchased a Tecsun PL-660 from Kaito, for $110 shipped on ebay. I would got that route.

I guess the Grundig S450dlx is a relative of the Redsun RP2100. I have the Redsun RP2100 and is a very well designed receiver with a IF output... a feature that is missing to the IC7600... and sensitivity is similar to a tabletop.

To answer you question, you first can choose either 9khz or 10Khz steps for the AM broadcast band. If you select each step of the rotary encoder is 9 or 10Khz. If set to slow position the steps are 1Khz. Did I answer your question?
