I just noticed that there is a Himalayan Contest this weekend. I have never reached India from Ohio and have only heard an Indian station once ever. I can reach Japan/Australia fairly well with my A3S triband and 40m dipole. What is the best way to reach India? This will be my best chance to succeed. The one time I heard an Indian station was right over the north pole in the early evening.

All my India contacts have been long path in the evenings. There are a few ops that work long path quite frequently from Southern India.

If you don't get it this weekend, be sure to listen for VU7AG late Nov and early Dec - http://www.vu7ag.info/
