How many of you are planning on working W1AW in every state in 2014?  I saw a little blurb in this months QST about it but have not seen much in the way of advertising the fact there will be W1AW portable in every state in the Union

I am going to try to get the W1AW WAS, already have ARRL WAS, but it will be a fun addition.

I have also signed up to be a W1AW operator in my state.

I have been looking for the stations listed for the week starting 1/1/14

N4AF North Carolina & K8MN West Virginia

The last spots for either call were on 1/2/14 - Where are they?

I have been working W1AW/* in NC and WV last week, and SC and UT this new week.

These are immensely popular operations with long lines of callers in every band and mode.

Wow this is such a success!

Helpful links if you want to follow bands and modes and don't otherwise use cluster spots: http://www.reversebeacon.net/dxsd1/dxsd1.php?f=0&c=w1aw*&t=dx and http://www.dxwatch.com/dxsd1/dxsd1.php?f=0&c=w1aw*&t=dx

I hope to help activate MD and DC when our turn comes!

I'm not officially trying for WAS by working the portable W1AW stations, but am trying to work as many of the stations as I can just for the fun of it. Everything will go into my paper log and that is as far as it will go.

W1AW/5 is correct.

W1AW/P5 would be the soon-to-be-opening branch of ARRL HQ in North Korea. (Smiley face! I don't think so!)
