Check out Par End fed /lnr research. They got a new one on the way. 40/30/20/17 meters. If it is as gud as there ant's its worth checking. Its the FX4

The X1M would seem to be an ideal candidate for your requirements. Maybe 1/4th the volume of a K2. I have been involved in doing some work on this rig. It now has a nice AGC mod and I will soon be releasing a CW xtal filter mod for it. QC is not as it should be but improving. The Yahoo X1M group is very active.
