I bit the bullet and upgraded to Windows 7. I heard too many horror stories about Windows 8. Are there any programs available for packet? I am currently using WinPack on my slowly dying XP computer. Thanks in advance.

If you're just looking for a terminal program, you can copy over the HyperTerm exe file from your XP machine. Right click on the icon, select Properties, and you'll see the path for the file.

I believe the WinLink e-mail client (the name of which escapes me) has a peer-to-peer mode.

If you need a term program, Putty is about the best. It runs fine on all version of Windows and is free online.
