Thinking of purchasing a mc intercom the one I'm looking at is a J&M (something can't remember right now) IV, it's a vox intercom with FM radio and has a PTT for use with Motorola FRS radios also has inputs for gps, radar detector and separate ptt. Somewhere I thought I read that Yaesu and Motorola speaker mics were compataple. I realize I probably will have to use the Yaesu 2 plug breakout box. Anyone know for sure?

They most certainly are NOT.

For your application, the FEWER "adapters" you have the better. It is best to purchase cabling that is "direct connect" to the equipment. Sena and SetCom come to mind.
