How do you enable/disable the NOAA weather alert feature on the Kenwood TM-D700?  The feature is not mentioned in either manual.

WA9AFM if like the kenwood TM 281A Get into the program menu where you can change the offset and so fourth and find the WX you should be able to turn off or on. At least wise thats how my TM281A is.

Mystery solved, we think.  The D700 was likely getting a spur from the local NOAA weather radio.
