:-) :-Of course, Hector AD4C has posted countless reviews here on the K3. Oh it's the best ever. Before that it was the Pro III.

Fidel, you should have finished the lobotomy. But certainly, judge the success of an commercial article on units sold.

Hams are so entertaining in that so many try so hard to appear intelligent by slobbering out too many words. On the air, and on the internet.

Why I love the K3? As an exciter, very light, great CW XCVR. Firmware improvements are a dynamic.

Occasionally some lost soul will post a "0" to drive the ratings down.

The K3 is way better than the K2, but just wait 'til the K4! Smiley

Great numbering system, they can never run out.

I'm waiting for the K6251 to be absolutely sure. Cheesy

Hello.

Anybody remember the Pentium computer? PI, PII, P etc.
Before that it was cars, the Mark 3, Mark 4, what it is the Mark 8 now.
And the Deluxe edition, the Super edition, the Super Deluxe.
Trim levels are what they call it.
You can not get the base model with cruise control, it has to be the trim level with carpet and deluxe seats.
So, cross a deluxe japan toilet with a ham rig, and,,,.

K2 is way cheaper than the K3 if you buy it used.  I have both.  K3 is much better.  But the K2 is better for my kind of casual hamming than all of my previous radios.

Radios I have owned would be ordered:

K3
K2
Orion II
Hendricks PFR-3
FT-920
Jupiter
SP-104A
Viking Valiant
HW-16
HW-100
Homebrew 20M QRP
Homebrew 2-tube transmitter with Heath HR-10B rcvr.

But that is based on what I like to do.
