Look for  W8TNX  on or around:   7.230 - 14.280 - 21.330 ssb.

John Clem was a 9 yr old who so admired President Lincoln that he  ran away from home to volunteer in the Civil War. He became the youngest ever to  attain the rank of sergeant in the Army,  was a civil war hero,  eventually retired  with the rank of General, and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery.

Johnny Clem was born in Newark (Licking County) OH

Thanks to the  2494 viewers who checked us out.  We worked 98 of you on Sat, 97 on 40m ssb, and 1 on 20 ssb.  Conditions and/or powerline noise  on our vertical  kept 10 and 15m out of the log, and 20m barely got in it,  but we tried..  Did anyone hear us on 15/10/20?

COOKEN ARC, Newark, Ohio,  is on the air as W8TNX  every year on the 2nd Sat in August.  Read more about John Clem, Civil War hero, on the www.

We also activate W8TNX from Dawes Arboretum, Licking county, OH in late April each year with an all green station ( 100% solar powered).

We  work 40-20-15-10, conditions permitting.  Hope to see you again.  And special thanks for those of you who have worked us more than once.
