On May 25, WonderRadio (SDRtec) based in India announced that they are no longer in business.  For anyone following their Yahoo group, this was not a big surprise.  Their business practices were very questionable at best and product delivery was a major problem. I hope those of you paid them money actually got working products.  I guess a business plan based on standing on others shoulders by using FlexRadio Systems' circuit designs and software to create a business without having to expend any significant intellectual equity was fought with just too much bad karma for it to succeed.

I bought a Wonder Radio (on eBay), the BandPass Filters and the 100 watt linear Amp, in three separate PayPal transactions.

None of these items was ever delivered.

The last purchase for the filters (I think) was on May 2nd.

Looks like they had fraudulent intent, since the demise was so soon after the sale of the third item.

Being patient with somebody shipping from India was not a good idea.

I ordered a Wonder PRO in September of 08.
I received the SDR1000 clone MB but none of the other parts. They are giving all India amateurs a bad name.
I am out a grand and will never order any thing from India again, should have know better.

The basic idea was good, create a good product but at low cost.
Shame that we have encountered dishonest radio amateurs.
Tim has received at least something, I do not unfortunately.

Flex is coming out with a 5 watt transceiver that should be a good bet for getting your feet wet regarding SDR.

The problem with trying to start a ham radio company on a shoe string is being capitalized enough to keep it going.  Fortunately Flex is over that hump
