Title: D-104 upgrade
Post by: KJ6ETL on November 07, 2017, 12:52:12 PM
I converted this old Astatic D-104 microphone to modern standards.
Removed the old electronics and crystal microphone element and the 9V block battery clamp.
installed a microswitch under the bracket and adjusted the lever a bit. I needed to add about 1/4" to the lever in order to make contact with the switch.
Replaced the microphone element and added a speech processor.

The microphone PTT has a nice "click" and is ready for some decent audio.
