Title: ARRL Radio Designer Version 1.5 on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
Post by: KA2OEE on November 04, 2010, 09:30:35 AM
Has anyone managed to get this software to load/run on Win 7 64 bit?  Has anyone come up with an alternative work around?  I know I can opt for a virtual machine running 32 bit XP or set up XP to dual boot on my computer.  Any other alternatives?

Any suggestions about replacement software that is Win 7 compatible?

Tnx

I have no experience with ARRL Radio Designer, but I do have a little experience with getting older apps to run under Windows 7 x64.  Windows 7 gives you the ability to invoke a compatibility mode when running a program; this is separate and apart from running a virtual machine.

This may be of some help:

Can't confirm it will run on W7 64bits but it is worth a try :)
It's from Linear Technlogy, used to be called SwitcherCAD. Don't let the description fool you, it is not limited  to switching regulators :)
