Title: ZOXN ZX-777 Cordless MIC Repeater
Post by: W3ZDF on April 03, 2012, 05:41:36 AM
Has anyone out there purchased this Unit that was on Ebay? It supposedly allows you to walk around with its
portable mic back to a unit called a repeater that plugs into an Icom Radio for both Transmit and receive audio.
I am having some problems with this unit.
I purchased one and I just wondered if anyone else got one and does it work?

Thanks de W3ZDF   John

Wondering if you decided to purchase this item.  It looks interesting.

Hello.

http://radiodsc.com/products/ZOXN-ZX%252d777-Cordless-MIC-Repeater-for-Mobile-Car-Radio.html
Now, look at the operating frequency.
245 to 247 MHz?
The military aviation emergency frequency is 243.0 MHz.
I am not saying it is prohibited, but, why not 430 to 450 MHz??

You could get the same effect with an old Alinco DJ-C5 and running the mobile rig in cross band repeat mode.

I think the Alinco is smaller too.
