Title: instructograph morse code tape machine -- tapes
Post by: W1IMQ on October 26, 2012, 12:13:43 PM
Back in the day instructograph had about 55 tapes listed as available with group numbers such as the basic 1 - 10, then RC-#, C-# etc...
Much later (maybe in the 1970s) they renumbered the tapes consecutively from 1 to 55....
I am trying to correlate the early list numbers to the more recent list numbers....
does anyone have a company list of those later number tapes? (The lists contain a brief description of the contents of the tape.)
Please email me direct at tom@lakeboon.com since I don't get on here that often. I will try to update this thread with info....

Thanks.

"Instructograph" for the kids here:

I remember renting one around 1957 from the Walter Ashe radio store here in St Louis.

the NDSU ham club W0SHR owned a unit.  some of the folks were a little rough on the 7 or 8 tapes that were left back in 1970.

with the Internet, they are an interesting antique.

I can't help you...but thanks for the memories. I had forgotten all about those things, one of which I used to learn the code back in the 60s.  :)
