Is this some sort of promo for the show 1000 ways to die?

Good luck to all the operators.  I commend them for bravery.

It does sound interesting but nothing on their route will be new. I only need Eritrea in all of Africa. Still,  I'd like to work them from each country but they will only be operating during their night which means I can eliminate 10, 12, 15, and probably 17 meters.  Good old 20 meters along with 30 and 40 would seem to be the best bands.  The West Coast of Africa is really a chip shot from here but it will get tougher as they hit Southern Africa.

I would think the hardest part would be finding people with 6 months of free time to make the trip. This route looks awfully familar to the route Jimmy Rogers took for his book "Investment Biker."

Gene, this should be fairly easy for you down there in Florida.

Chris/NU1O

This one will be exciting for me.  I don't have a lot of African countries.  I've only been a ham since 2009.  I have never heard some of the African countries on the air.  Two countries I've never heard are Burundi and Burkina Faso.  They will be on the air in Feb.  GL to all.
