I posted this on Y! Answers, but I was hoping you guys could give me an answer quicker.

I need IRS help for a non-profit?
I design custom software to assist community service clubs in specific Amateur Radio Operators. (Handle messages for people when they can't deliver them themselves example Hurricane Katrina: FEMA refereed anyone wishing to get a message into the place to contact their local amateur radio op. That was the only communication they had, 9/11 amateur radio ops were passing messages there too for the police basically when all other communications fail, they bring in these guys. and sometimes before. Storm spotters use them too) anyway back to my question, I design software to help train them. (working on new program for learning the licenses - If anyone wants to help) Also I want to sell software from the non-profit (which is legal - I've checked) but I don't know what classification I fit into.

- Charitable
- Social Welfare
- Agricultural/horticultural (don't think this one is it)
- Labor
- Business League

Yeah, you're probably right! Hey I ran into something on SourceForge last night called a virtual host. They said something about pointing a DNS at my project with it, How can I do this?

Well, I don't actually plan to serve much, just two pages with links to everything. All the images are hosted on remote servers. Would I still not be able to host it? I mean how much demand will I get for two pages?

So who do I contact to get higher sending speeds?

Hey guys,
Sorry to keep submitting so many forms, but I'm looking for a cheap computer to host my website (http://www.smashindex.com) from. My web host is bombarding my users with so many advertisements it's not funny. Anyone know of a cheap computer either online or off that I can put in the back of the closet and leave running 24/7 to host my site? I need at least 512 in RAM.

Thanks AA4PB.
And KE4DRN. I can't use any .NET products. I don't have Windows

The software is free. What I was talking about was giving anyone who donated a 70 character advertisement inside the program.

Actually I was looking to purchase LibertyBASIC. WINE supports it. I don't have .NET for my WINE install. JustBASIC is what I wrote my first program in. I've fell in love with the language.

Yeah well, that's already been taken over by my hosting company. I hate those guys. I pay $10 a year for a domain and can't even get it without ads. Please don't take this the wrong way) but have any other ideas. I want the more powerful programming language, plus I have to pay for hosting, hopefully to remove the ads as well soon. :-(

I have an amateur radio logging program http://www.smashindex.com (SmashIndex Logger) and I need some donations for a more powerful programming language. To offer more features and I plan to develope more SmashIndex software. How can I find businesses that would be interested in "donating" money for about a 70 character advertisement to appear in the top of my program?

Also: is it legal for a non-profit to do this?

Hey guys just updated again. Was wondering if I could get your opinions. It now offers call lookups.

HEY GUYS,
I'm working on a logging program for field day. However, I was wanting to allow users to use it as alternate logs for other things as well. I was wondering what information was passed during a CQWWDX contest between stations. Thanks and the software is available at http://www.smashindex.com

Trying to make a logging program. Now I need it to open a browser page so that the user can see the callsign. I've tried everything OK I've just tried one thing, but that's all I know to do. I am having no luck. It's the ULS if anyone is wondering (was about to leave that out by accident)

I've tried:
http://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsApp/UlsSearch/searchLicense.jsp?searchboxname=XXX

searchboxname I forgot it, so I had to put this
XXX = callsign.

Anyone have any ideas on how to open a webbrowser to a callsign in the ULS or how to open it so the search box contains the callsign?
