1  eHam Forums / SWL (Shortwave Listening) / RE: Anyone have a WPE Call Sign? on: July 28, 2012, 08:06:58 AM
Sure do and if I looked hard enough, I could probably find the PE certificate.

Why I can remember "WPE7BHW" to this day, I don't know.

What is the difference, if any, between the Heathkit DX-60 and the DX-60B?  TU,  //Bruce -- AE7UE//

I saw one of those at a ham swap meet last week end for $300+, almost four times what my receiver cost me.  How about a Heathkit or Hallicrafters?  I'm not looking to have a real power house station here, just to try something different than the tranceiver route, mostly CW.  Thanks for your input,   //Bruce -- AE7UE//  X-WA7SQD

I would like some suggestions for a tube type CW/AM transmitter to use with my HQ-110.  I'm looking for something in the $125 or less range. I like radios that warm up the shack and glow like a rig should!  Nothing fancy, just functional and hopefully, dependable.  The luster of bells and whistles tranceivers has worn off and I would like to revert back to the 50's, 60's or early 70's.  Any suggestions and/or offers to sell would be appreciated.  Thanks,   //Bruce -- AE7UE//
7  eHam Forums / Computers And Software / Casio FX-820P on: January 06, 2006, 09:20:04 PM
Has any one successfully gotten a Casio FX-820P or similar mini computer to work with a ham rig for use on digital modes?  I was given one of these little computers and it is perfect in size for QRP back-pack packet, PSK-31, RTTY etc. but I don't know of any one that has used one for this type of operation.  Any one had any luck?  TX  //Bruce//
