(biting my lip, waiting....Waiting....WAITING..WATING....AAAAAAUUUUGGGHHHHH!!!!).... .............Thankfully though, QSL cards came yesterday from my back to back ATNO Bahrain qsos from early April.....Sending registered mail really helped......Very cool stamps for the stamp collection too......Getting those cards yesterday put a smile on my face and eased the continued PAIN of waiting for cards from these DXpeditions that I need for ANTOs...... .............Tnx A92GR and A92IO...... Get yourself a couplpe of plastic slot qsl card displays and hang them up on the wall...they sell them at any ham radio outlet like AES..otherwise, get a few shoe boxes, alphabetize them in the order on the DXCC list and keep them in there......I keep mine at arms length in three shoe boxes in the shack....any dupes get pinned up on the wall.....I love getting qsl cards, even if they are from Japan or Germany.....being the geography geek that I am....Someone on here said if more people did LOTW they would not have this problem.....What's the problem???.....there are ways to keep things orderly.....LOTW is no fun....collecting qsl cards, especially from exotic places your signal has reached is....

WOW!...what a signal last night on 20 meters cw!!!.....and for the first time in over 10 years, It was nice to finally get another Dodecanese station.....As you know, I have been having trouble getting qsls out of Rhodes over the years, so this one w/ an OQRS is a definate pursuit after all this time....I could never hear SV5BYR, but that sig last night from those dudes on that lighthouse really rocked....and thanks to those guys for hanging in there with me until they got my call letters correct!.....good stuff!

Someone (who's a seasoned DXer and/or DXpeditioner), please splain!.....What is it when a dxpedtion is working holiday style?.....My initial inclination is that the operator is hanging out on the beach with a bucket full of Corona mini's, an 857D, a wet noodle in the palm trees and a hammak (did I spell that right?), whilest being served pineapple cake by a beautiful skantly clad Wahini.....but then again, something tells me I am wrong about that....Is it just another term for "casual dx operating?'......ya know, no set schedule or band plan???.....Never really heard the term up until a few years ago, as the internet became an intregal part of Ham Radio......What say you?...Holiday Style.....the definition....I am interested in being educated after all these years.....

Monaco is not a "dime a dozen." There are only a few stations able to make worldwide contacts and even those stations do not put out very strong signals.
Even if that were true, ClubLog shows a fair bit of activity. https://secure.clublog.org/mostwanted2.php?dxcc=260Not even in the top 100 most wanted. It's #146. Sure, it's not Italy or Germany but it's actually less rare than FJ or J8 and only slightly more rare than Curacao which has superstation PJ2T on it. If you filter Clublog's database by location to North America, Monaco rises to #48! Making its rarity similar to Bhutan(47) or the Maldives(51). Zack W1VT I'd say that's rare enough....small territory with many a ham radio impedance......Well done Bill....savor it..and I don't blame you for being aggrivated over some moron all of a sudden barging in on your qso....even if it wasn't intentional....that was me last week with those mouthy KC cops on top of Z81X...again, nobody listens before they transmit...same old song...I only hope I some day can complete the continent and get Monaco in the book too......and without any intrusions be they accidental or not... Monaco is a dime a dozen... don't worry if you don't work this one you'll work another.
LOL....You are funny!.... ......for some of us, Monaco is not a dime a dozen.....I have never heard a station out of Monaco in my years of dxing.....and if I have, it was probably so weak, that they were unworkable.....the closest I came to even sniffing Monaco was when some fraudulent Obi Wan Jabroni with a French call tacked on a 3A/ to his call sign, and said he was in Monaco, which later turned out to not be the case...In finding that out, I was ready to chuck my radio across the room, I was soooo POed.....Sorry, man, but I can understand Bill's angst.....Monaco is NOT the garden variety you say it is for some of us...... V KA3NRX Bill, like I said...send an e-mail to the dude and explain what happened....my guess is he will respond with a "no problem, you are in the log..."......

I'd send him an e-mail to verify, Bill....and explain the situation......I am sure your qso is good.....I've had many a qso broken in a similar fashion using both cw and ssb thinking they were foojed forever, but still got into their log and got a QSL out of them.....do that, and see if you get a reply, and let us know what happens......
