I received my NEW Mosley TA-53M from Mosley in 2006 & their was a couple of weeks delay. They said the parts that were made did NOT meet their specs & were remade to meet specs. They build the antennas on an AS NEEDED basis & do NOT build extras just to lay around in boxes waiting to be sold.I guess with todays cost that makes better sense than building to many of one model & having them lay around unsold & taking up needed storage space?I spoke with Gary several times & he was VERY helpful & I agreed that if the parts do NOT meet specs then correct the problem as they did. As I said,I had a little EXTRA wait but the antenna was worth the wait in my opinion. The site is EASY to navigate as well & my antenna system(TA-53M,M2 6M5X,& Cushcraft 215WB)is pictured on their web site just under the TA-53M header along with my feedback letter under it.ANYTHING worth having is worth waiting for, GREAT antennas included! }:>)THANKS MOSLEY again!

Just from "MY" station setup.I have an Ameritron 811H & an LDG AT-1000 Auto Tuner.I use these along with a Radios & more G5RV "ONLY" on 40 & 75 meters with MUCH success. You can purchase a manual tuner for MUCH less than an auto tuner from MFJ.I prefer the auto tuner. The amp is VERY simple to tune & operate even for a beginner just by following the instructions in the manual which is provided with the amp.I also have a Mosley TA-53M 5 band yagi which does NOT require a tuner(1.5.1 swr)but I do run the tuner with it sometimes just for a PERFECT match on ALL BANDS for the amp & radio(ICOM 756 PROII).If you have the space a BETTER antenna is a SMART choice since the weakest link is the feedline & antenna in any station setup.I use the G5RV because I do LITTLE 40 or 75 meter activity but it meets my needs for that little bit of usage with GREAT signal reports.I NEVER worked or heard any stations in Europe for years on 75 meters with a 75 meter Double Bazooka but I worked SEVERAL stations in Europe with the G5RV at the same height & location as the double bazooka was just days after removing the double bazooka.GO FIGURE? Don't remember where I read the article but here is the outcome anyway. The home owner had a hole cut in his roof at the roof cap & a 2 inch mast pipe about 20 ft. long coming out through it.His rotor was mounted on a plate in his attic & he had a thrust bearing on a plate at the roof line. The mast had a weather proof sleeve around it at the roof entrance which was placed under the shingles & the edges sealed. The kind used for vent pipes on homes. The antenna was a small tri-bander as I recall & it was up at about 30 to 34 ft. or so.Looked pretty simple & looked pretty neat as well from the photo's in the article.Maybe someone else remembers where the article was & they can share the source with you for a look.It was VERY low cost as well as I recall.Guess it depends on how BAD you want a beam? The mast as I recall was NOT guyed & could be longer with guys attached if you so desired.Hope you find the article or another solution to your antenna NEEDS & WANTS!Beams are the BEST for a BIG signal but NOT the ONLY way to get on the air.

You MUST have some kind of SPECIAL reading program on your computer,I saw "ZERO" negative responses to your question & you MUST have read some because of your own response RIGHT?

Simple answer,"NO" ICOM will NOT be coming out with a 756 PROIIII(PRO4)!The 756 series will end with the last 756 PROIII whenever that is!Write it down so you know I said so in the future! }:>) It's just time to move on with a NEW number series so just buy a PROIII & be HAPPY!

I have the ICOM 756 PROII & use the HEIL PR-20 with the compression on HIGH,base at MINUS 4,treble at PLUS 5 without external audio gear & it sounds "GREAT" according to everyone I speak with & from what I have heard played back over the air and via emails! If you were NOT aware the PR-20 & HEIL Goldline PRO are the SAME microphone. In my opinion the PR-20 is the BEST mike for the money for the ICOM PRO series rigs & ICOM 7000 hands down.Email me for a schedule & hear it for yourself. My email address is my call at arrl.net so if you want to hear the combination you can!

I had a DK-3 & it worked "GREAT" for me.NOT one of the major companies but it seems that the DK-3 MAY have been the ORIGINAL screwdriver antenna or one of the 1st anyway & still around!Stay AWAY from the ATAS series if your interested in a GOOD signal.

Mosley TA-53M covers 10,12,15,17,& 20 meters with REAL gain on each band. The boom is ONLY 14 ft. long & it weighs 55 lbs.I've had mine up almost 2 years & am VERY VERY happy with it's performance.NEW price is around $900 shipped in the U.S.A. They make an upgrade kit for it that will also add 6 meters & 40 meters for a 7 band yagi on one boom! SWEET!! }:>)

What I see WRONG with the eham classifieds is the ONLY people hurt by the practice of NEW listings NOT being seen by NON SUBSCRIBERS is the SELLERS.MOST of the same item are ALSO listed on the QTH.com & QRZ.com listings WITHOUT these restrictions so what is the point here on eham?Just thought I'd ask since I have heard others ask the same question but not here on the feedback pages.

Just listen to the 10 meter band during openings here in the U.S.A. & you will hear LOTS of those CB amps.I here guys all the time BRAGGING about their Palomar, D & A, or Maco amps & how well they get out. They have NOT seen what I see on my spectrum scope when they transmit & MOST would NOT care what the band width is so they will NEVER change their CB habits! You can NOT fix STUPID after all.If this offends YOU then the shoe MUST fit your foot. }:>) "10-4 Good Buddy"

I have used both & PREFER the boom mike(HEIL PR-20) which I use today.I NEVER use VOX either. The headsets became HOT on my ears & head after long periods of usage.I had a HEIL Proset before & I think the audio was NOT as crisp either but it does have a different cartridge than the PR-20.I use the PR-20 with the HEIL FS-2 footswitch & a HEIL PL-2 topless boom now so it's always hands free operations & the PL-2 will reach me even when laid back at my operating position.SWEET combination for my usage! }:>)
