76  eHam Forums / Antenna Restrictions / RE: Proposed Survey Question: Why did you buy an antenna-restricted property? on: June 19, 2010, 08:32:44 AM
ANTENNA "RESTRICTIONS"?What's that? The MORE antennas in the air the BETTER! Can NOT imagine NOT being able to have my antennas & tower. Kind of like NOT having my GUNS(when they pry my COLD DEAD fingers from around them). When I die they can dig up the tower as well.Until then they will get use to the antennas or MOVE. }:>) Grin

79  eHam Forums / Elmers / RE: 746Pro last serial number on: June 13, 2010, 07:26:31 AM
I would guess that SOME think their YOHOO,KENMORE,or TENYUCK rigs NEVER fail.I am using my SECOND 746 PRO with ZERO issues as was with the 1st which I traded for an ICOM 7000? I "ONLY" use my 746 PRO EVERY day & it keeps GOING & GOING & GOING just like the 756 PROII that sits above it.I'D rather NOT operate at all if I can NOT use an "ICOM"!  Grin

Smiley I found the 572B's ran MUCH "COOLER" in my 811H.WORTH it just for the difference in the SHACK TEMP alone. Grin

GOD BLESS,

82  eHam Forums / Elmers / RE: Icom 756p3 - no TX all of the sudden on: May 23, 2010, 07:55:51 AM
"THUNDER",did NOT get it but "a CLOSE by LIGHTNING strike or static discharge may have gotten it.I have a local ham friend here who lost transmit on his 746 PRO to a static discharge & EVERYTHING else worked 100%.ICOM support has ALWAYS been VERY VERY "HELPFUL" for me with ANY issues including repairing my 756 PROII for "FREE" even when I had owned it over a year(reciever preamp went out). Ted(W4YJC)& I have done it several times on 6 meters in the last 2 years or so.At the time we lived about a mile apart but are NOW about 2 miles or more & have NOT tried it again. He was using a DRY dummy load & I was using an OIL FILLED dummy load.

89  eHam Forums / Misc / RE: Charging an IC-T8A battery on: March 06, 2010, 01:39:57 PM
The drop-in charger works MUCH better at getting a full charge for my usage.I use a Batteries America HIGH CAPACITY battery that is MUCH better than the original battery & the battery clip is NOT an issue on the Batteries America battery either.

CONGRATS & just tell him the TRUTH about ham radio. You know about it being just like the rest of the world & how some people always want to rain on somebodys parade. Some folks are just ALWAYS UNHAPPY & want everyone else too be just as unhappy as they are.Hope I can work him very soon it would be my pleasure! As for the OLD FART with the POOR attitude towards a 7 year old I hope I NEVER work him "EVER"!

God bless,
