Well , I took the dive and order a FLEX 6500 looks like it will be deliver in late JAN 13. First time in my 25 year Ham time that i have bought a radio will without playing with it first. I'm a radio Tech for the US Army and play alot with SDR's So right now I'm sleep well at night that I paid $4,318 with shipping added. I hope I don't have to eat my words later.

The best software that incorporates the TQSL in the software so it's two click and the log is uploaded is AC LOG 3.0

upgrade my radio from the TS-2000X to either the FT-5000MP or the Orion 2 ...sitting at 228 confirmed and need a boost maybe dual receive will do the trick

I would like to know if anyone has used a Mosley TA-33 with a HY-gain high power balun. I bought a used beam and the instruction say used so TA-86 never seen one ...anyone got solutions

My setup is
IC-7000
Turbo tuner
Little Tarheel 2 screwdriver mount is Tri-mag mount on the trunk.
The Best SWR I can find with current grounding is 2.6 to 1 on several bands using the turbo tuner, with the only one that is 1.5 to 1 is 75/80m. On all the other bands the tubro tuner times out and parks the antenna.
currnet grounding is #10 ground cable from the tri-mag base to Deck lid inside the trunk
also #10 ground cable from the base plate on tri-mag base to side wall grounding point.
I have not put any others because of , to go to the frame with lenght would be greater than 4 feet.
The radio is grounded to the seat mounting boats under my front seat.
Q: does anyone have a setup like this or can give my suggestions.

glad you got it, all Tarheel when bought new have a snap on torrid for that problem, I'm in Iraq and still used the snap on Torrid for my little tarheel on the roof of my Steel building. No problems here.
Wonder if the IC-7000 will handle the normal wear and tear of moblie use.

Hello I have narrowed my beam selection to a mosley beam. I have choose either the C-4ss or the TA-63m does anyone one if the configuration of the beam will allow installation on Hazer?

It depends on what you want to do. VHF,SATs plus HF and 6m then the Ts-2000 is for you.
I have the TS-2000 and a IC756pro it all depends what you want to both are good radios.
the TS-2000 gives you more and upgrade stuff
