Hello, Brad.  I have an FT2000D and really like it.  I am a CW only op and this radio excels.  I have had an Orion and several FT1000D's and the the FT2000D is a better radio.  In my opinion.  The 2000 sits next to an Elecraft K2 with all the options.  I have compared it side by side and the 2000 is much superior in receive.  The 2000D puts out an honest 200 watts plus.  If you firewall the power knob, it will do about 235 plus.  So, yes it does put out 200 watts.  Good luck on your selection effort.

I am looking for a new amplifier and the ACOM 1000 sure fits the bill.  However, how do we purchase one in the U.S.  I have sent an email to the vendor listed for the U.S. over three weeks ago.  No reply.  Anyone owning an ACOM 1000 in the U.S., could you tell us where the supplier in the States is located?  Thanks.

Can't be sales.  I ordered a QRO amp and after waiting four weeks got a call saying all assemblers left and my order had to be refused.  Wonder if anyone else had that experience.
