Here's one you're gonna like!

I sold a TEMPO ONE on Ebay to guy, nice rig reconditioned and all, New Tubes, Finals etc. i ship it out to him, insured it for $500.00, sold it for 185.00 on EBAY, He got it all smashed to pieces, sends me photos of the inside of the radio, smashed tubes, broken tubes, glass all over, Dial bent on the front. Cabinet bent, looks like it was thrown out an airplane!

I call UPS, tell them what happened, try to visit with them in Claims about the "HANDLING" of their packages, why they let this happen!??

The tell me, Well, no matter how many LABELS you put on a box, THIS SIDE UP, FRAGILE, HANDLE WITH CARE -GLASS etc.. Doesn't mean a damned to them.!!

He said we no longer handle packages personally, they get thrown on a converyor belt to move them out, they fall off, hit the floor all day long, he said,"I SEE IT ALL THE TIME", I feel for you he said, but that's what Insurance is for. So they send me a Check for $500.00 for the Tempo One!! I pay the guy his money back from the purchase.

Then they said, the Guy you sent the radio too, we will hafta pick it up, I said thats fine, A Month later, after the Dust settles, He BIDS on another item I have for sale.

I asked him how the other stuff turned out with UPS, he said fine, He sends me a Photo of the Radio (Supposedly) That I sent that was all smashed up saying, UPS picked it up and paid me, so everything is okay.!

I matched the Serial Numbers on the Photos only to learn the guy just Beat some old TEMPO ONE to death with a HAMMER, KEPT Mine that wasn't damaged after all, and gave the UPS Claim ma another radio to pick up.

He Screwed up and sent me a Picture of MY RADIO I sent him instead!!

I called UPS and said there's people out there Doing FRAUD with a switcheroo on Damaged Freight thru you guys, Oh, he said, well, we don't have anyway to investigate that, that's why we have insurance.

So this guy gets rid of his Piece of Junk TEMPO,get's his money Fulled Refunded too boot, and has my NEW Reconditioned radio in mint conditon for FREE, all paid for with a PROFIT!

DISGUSTING, but that's UPS today, They would rather write you a check for Damages that don't occur.
 So I guess make sure you insure it BIG TIME! More than it's worth.

And Keep a HAMMER near by, beat it to death and File the Claim is the way of the world now.........

I visited with Riley Hollingsdick many times about BROADCAST stations in the 75 Meter Band. He says they have a right to be there, since it's non-US crapola. 3925 has a Strong KOREAN Station there all the time.

We even have Local Broadcasters with BIRDIES and Harmonics in the 75 Meter Band all the way up to, 40 meters I can hear Country Western Tunes, News, Stuff like that every 100 KC or so.

Told Riley about it, He says thats normal! According to Riley, "Dirty" transmitters are a thing of the past, It doesn't happen anymore. HAH HAH HAH.

 So I wrote the ARRL.

They stated since I was not a Subscriber, theres nothing they can do until I pay the dues.! Then they work Hand-in-Hand with Riley!
