Does anyone know where i can obtain a ctss board fo my ft 290 mk2, ive tried the makers with no luck. perhaps someone might have one in a defunct radio??

not exactly ham radio, what does the extra blue lead do on p.c cooling fans, is it for indicating the unit is running ok...jim..

Try a fairly low value electrolytic in the lead to the front mounted speaker, this worked fine on mine,some trial and error is required.......

Does anyone know a easy way to add a 1750 kc tone to a Icom IC 2 AT Handheld, i`m getting a little tired of whistling up the repeaters over here.

I've asked before on BoatAnchors I wonder if anyone owns a Redifon gr377 ships radio or has even heard of this piece of equipment its all transistor apart from the driver and p.a stage. I converted mine to 80 meters and it works really well, and boy is it big i had to strenghten the bench in the loft to take it............

MY 101zd has gone very low output half a watt on all bands, this happened very suddenly, ht is ok 900 volts has anybody any ideas where i can look for what is probrably a drive fault...

Think carefully about this one, you have two identical handhelds both 1 watt output using their rubber duck aerials, if the received signal at the other end is for instance signal strength 1 using only one handheld what would you expect the reading to be if both were keyed using their own areials JIM.....G4REK...........

Hi Ken, Yes its a nice radio we bought four about 1 year ago, no problems at all as you say a narrow ssb filter is useful, its good to have all the freq. in one box. Mine goes into the sgc 230 auto atu and then to the main aerial which is a doublet it all works very well. best wishes Jim g4rek

Yes chuck mines perfect, but I havent seen one over here from the many weve looked at that is central they all go round as though they are drunken sailors.
