Try a fairly low value electrolytic in the lead to the front mounted speaker, this worked fine on mine, some trial and error is required.......

I've asked before on BoatAnchors I wonder if anyone owns a Redifon gr377 ships radio or has even heard of this piece of equipment its all transistor apart from the driver and p.a stage. I converted mine to 80 meters and it works really well, and boy is it big i had to strenghten the bench in the loft to take it............

Think carefully about this one, you have two identical handhelds both 1 watt output using their rubber duck aerials, if the received signal at the other end is for instance signal strength 1 using only one handheld what would you expect the reading to be if both were keyed using their own areials                  JIM.....G4REK...........

  Hi Ken,
Yes its a nice radio we bought four about 1 year ago, no problems at all as you say a narrow  ssb filter is useful, its good to have  all the freq.  in one box. Mine goes into the sgc 230 auto atu and then to the main aerial which is a doublet it all works very well.
                best wishes  Jim  g4rek

60  eHam Forums / Elmers / still can't fix RF problem on: March 13, 2003, 06:38:10 PM
Sounds more like a problem with the rig, unstable, oscillating, try it with a dummy load before anything else.  jim..g4rek..
