1  eHam Forums / Clubs / Explorer Post or Venture Crew? on: September 21, 2009, 06:16:30 PM
Yes we have a Venture Crew, but no experience with BSA. The Amateur Radio Club elected to collaborate with a new Venture Crew.

By combining the wilderness experience gained from Venturing and the Amateur Radio experience gained from the club, both groups will benefit in some way.

Our first eight months were non-productive for both organizations. Some momentum after a few meetings but little to no progress. Recently, both organization have communicated directly with each other, the ARRL Section and BSA Council.

Communicate began on several projects and expectations are high for the upcoming JOTA, Fox Hunt and Wilderness Radio Based Camp. We'll have to see if the energy stays high enough over the next 6-10 months.

The Venture and the Club need more members - hopefully this with help both organizations
