Having participated in my first contest on my own I would like to know if the contacts I make can be used towards a WAS award? Assuming that I send and receive qsl cards for each contact.

I am building a three trap dipole antenna for 80M, 40M 20M and 10M and I am winding the traps by hand.
My question: Can I use shrink wrap to wrap the coils to 1) keep them dry, and 2) keep them secure without effecting the inductance and or reactance of the coils?
