1  eHam Forums / Elmers / Icom 756 Pro 3 and Ameritron Al 80-B Amp. on: March 07, 2008, 07:42:16 PM
Hi All,
I'm likely going to buy a new Icom 756 Pro-3 transceiver in the near future to replace my Yaesu FT-990 which is a great radio but I'd just like to up-grade to something new and the Pro looks good. My question is, I have an Amerition AL 80-B Amp. and I'd like to know if I can just connect  the Pro 3 to the Amp with just a regular RCA jumper to activate the Amp or is something else needed. The standaed jumper works fine between my 990 and amp now. I believe MFJ sells something to but in between a rig and an Amp to make them computable but I've heard the Pro 3 and the Ameritron Al 80-B work fine together as is. Maybe someone out there can answer my question.

5  eHam Forums / VHF / UHF / Dosy Watt Meters on: May 24, 2003, 04:17:57 PM
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone out there ever used a "Dosy" 3001 watt meter on 2 meters 144-148 MHz. It's the one that has 3 separate meters built into one housing, I like the idea of it and though it says it will work on AM Im wondering if it would work on 2 meter FM as well.

Thanks for your comments

Has anyone ever use a DOSY 3001 watt meter on 2 meters. It's the one that has 3 meters in one. If so, did it work correctly?
7  eHam Forums / Mods And Repairs / Battery Replacement For The Icom 275-H on: May 06, 2003, 11:05:33 AM
Hi,
I just bought a used Icom 275-H 2 meter all band (Which I think is a great radio) As far as I was told, It has the original memory backup battery and I was wondering what kind of battery it takes & if I should try to change it myself if the memory should ever fail. Right now it works fine. I just want this info. for down the road.

Thanks,

I have heard that the Yaesu MD-100A8X base microphone "with an adaptor" would work with my FT-2600 FM 2 mtr. mobile radio that I use in the base. Does anybody know for sure if this would work?

I would like to be able to use a desktop mic with my Yaesu FT-2600 that I use as a base unit instead of the hand mic. Does anyone know of a desktop mic that would work well. Im sure that Im not the only one that would like to do this too.

Thanks.....N2uog@aol.com
