I was notified today that you can get TravelPlus Mobile for the Garmin GPs. Is there anything similar or any apps for the iPhone?

I am finally getting ready to order my MacBook PRO. My questions are these. It will be a 15 inch 2.0 ghz MacBook Pro with 4gb of ram and 500gb of hard drive. Is this big enough or should I get 8gb of ram and and larger hard drive or a bigger computer. This computer will be used for all the regular home things. I am not into producing a lot of music put I have about 4gb my I tunes and I just take basic photos I really don't do any editing. It will be used to operate my radios and log. I do have a small need to run some window programs.
Thanks for your help

I am going to purchase my first Mac. It will be used fr Ham Radio, logging, rig operation etc. It will also be used for normal activities such as email, store photos, watch videos, manage music collection surf the surf the web etc. My question is this, should I get a MacBook or a 15" MacBook Pro. Or would I be better off getting an iMac for main use and a 13" Mackbook for ham radio and portable use. Also can any one suggest a place on the web for Ham Radio Mac users? Thanks,

I plan to switch to an apple laptop, my wife has a pc laptop, and we have desk top pc running xp pro. We need to purchase our first wireless router, can any body recommend a router that will work well in our situation. We live in a 2 story house and my wife wants to use her laptop down stairs. The router will be in the ham shack which is the room over the garage.
Thanks for you help.

I am planing to purchase a new laptop. This laptop will be used for ham radio and other family functions. I run up to 1200 watts and right now I am using Ten Tec gear.
My question is this, what brands will have the least interference to the radios and from the radios? I am leaning toward IBM as I can buy them through work.
Thanks

At my last house I had a full wave Delta loop fed with open wire. Best antenna I ever had. The horizontal side was at the top and I fed it at the top corner. It went between 2 pine trees about 80 feet up. Now I live on a small lot with no tall trees. I sure do miss that antenna.

I had a full wave loop for 80m with the apex at the bottom. It was 70 ft high and feed at the corner of one side on the the top. I feed it with open wire to a tunner. Best antenna i had for dx. Have since moved and have a lot with my tallest tree 20 ft. thinking about a horizontal loop.
