Go ahead and use what you want. The last time an FCC vehicle lit me up and pulled me over, I begged for mercy and they let me go. Then of course are the random FCC radio spot checks on the street....

With all due respect, if you don't know the answers to those questions you should not be fooling around in there. Electrocution is permanent. At least download the manual and read it.

Stan and Gene have nothing better to do but gripe on the SDR forum and fan flames. Never had a stitch of trouble with my 3000. Kind of fun to read them sometimes, I must admit. Many of todays hams are just too turn-key and lazy to deal with today's complex radios Flex or otherwise. Painful truth.

More likely it is just apathy. There are 15 pages of gripes here, and I'll bet no more than two whole people have actually made the effort to complain to eBay. Hams thrive on gripe. Just listen to 75 meters.
