Don - happy to help with this project. My club (Lake Effect ARC, KD8DKU) is encouraging two women in my area (UP of Michigan) to get licensed. Should be able to hit your QTH, but would like to test that beforehand if possible. Keep me on your list and advise as the date approaches.

I live on a wooded lot.  I appear to be limited to using either a vertical or a 75' tower (too expensive).  Ok; will the trees absorb HF to the extent that the vertical will be useless?
