WB2WIK/6,
I had not looked into the delta loop, i'll have to read up on it more this weekend. Can they be built to cover all bands from 106 to 10?
I want to avoid mutiple antennas (primarilly to keep the XYL happy) and also avoid traps due the freezing rain and snow we get here in southern Michigan.
I was planning on installing several of the supports with pulleys, primarily for ease fo maintenance.

I'm planning to put up an HF antenna, and want to use a horizontal loop. I have a 2.6 acre lot with a sufficient number of tall trees. I have several questions regarding horizontal loops:
1. The trees are all on one side of the lot. I could install a 160m loop but it would be a rectangle with two sides 50-feet long, and two sides at 215 feet+/-.
2. I also would not be able to set it up a perfect rectangle (The trees did not grow where they should have) The angles at some of the corners may be more or less than 90 degrees.
3. The height of the connections to the tree may vary by 10 feet on more at each corner. How important is havng the loop as horizontal as possible.
4. Considering the above, would an 80m loop (which could be a lot closer to a square) fed with ladder line and set up be fed against ground on 160 work better?
Any assistance with this would be appreciated.
