A Real Estate agent is at the same level as a used car sales person and as such be treated the same way one should buy a used car. Read everything and let your feet do the talking when you catch them lieing to you. 73's Gene K2QWD

It is a shame that America is changing into a whole bunch of Gulogs and in the name of controlled living, we're willing to give up our civil rights to live with all these restrictive CCRs because we are unable or unwilling to think for ourselves. I don't necessarily buy into the argument that one has to live in these places as I just, after close to one year of house hunting, and the wife found it, not I, a 3,000 square foot house sitting on 1.2 acres left in a quarter of a mile from all the major shopping centers, it looks like rural america where I live now. I am going to describe to you the neighborhood: I have a church nextdoor, but I can't tell you what denomination they are. Besides the church, is a graveyard, and the inhabitants there are quite dead. There are a number of homes in the area but they are mostly built on one or more larger acre lots, and now the zoning is restricted to 2 acres or more, to build a home. I look in the distance and I see these beautiful AM broadcast stations antennas blinking red into the night. Soon I will fill my backyard filled with wire antennas, towers, and all the things that make amateur radio the pleasure that it could be. The disadvantages are that we have carpenter ants, but I learned if I feed them, they all seem to drop dead from something they ate; ticks, but they seem to drop dead from chemical treatments; and they all seem to drop dead from something they swam in. So, I dread the day that I'd have to live in a neighborhood where I'd have to fight just to exist. I fear that America is changing and it is not for the better. I understand our friends in Canada are fighting similar problems, to the point that because of their constitution, developments want them to give up their constitutional rights to live there. Anyways, 73's everyone and we wish you the best of a happy and healthy thanksgiving. Gene K2QWD

That very helpfull, but I just remind my XYL that before her their was my Radio's and it has already outlived one wife and 3 live in girlfriends and she would be added to first number. It's keeps the QRM 40 or 50db down. But to be fair I do give her RFI reports very quick action. The reports are now far and few after I rewired the house with cat5e for Telephone lines and RG6 Quad on all the TV sets on the cable. Married 20 plus years so it still works for both of us.

Not to make this a long winded :-) The older rigs like the Yaesu 101 use a high impedance mike input, and the D104 is a good example of a high impedance mike. Later rigs because of changes to Dynamic and Electret type Mikes that have 500-600 ohms outputs. It depends on the radio and it age of how you would wire and set the switch. It depends on the radio but all the newer radios are low impedance. Try the Kenwood Website as they have posted the manuel for a lot of there older equipment.
