atcually at this point i'm leaning towards a G5RV instead of a random wire antenna.
After I get my mast up with the VHF/UHF antennas on it, then i'll run a sloper G5RV.
Rob
I'll likely have someone from the HAM club come over and help.

" Nope, you don't want that surge energy getting into your house. ICE makes an arrestor designed for open wire feeders, like a long wire (which you should seriously consider not using). "
Wire Antenna classics is on its way from the ARRL.

But really the right way to do this would be to wire up a new female MIC jack and hack that together with 1/8 inch audio cable.
Too bad i suck at electronics.

Not like anyone would hear me on 10m right now anyway i could always just disconnect the antenna.
Okay I just ran an 1/8 cable from the CW input of my HTX to the audio output of my computer --i want to use multipsk in CW mode.-- All I get is a high pitched squeal and it's stuck in transmit mode.
What am I doing wrong?
