Would a compromise also help if they were to QRS to my speed if I can QRQ to a faster speed to help them out and make the QSO go a little faster, since I can send pretty well..just be sure to ask and explain what I'm doing so they'll remain QRS?
Thanks so much for all the polite and great repsonse!
Doug

Is it polite to answer a faster CW CQ than you can copy at a slower rate than the sender and expect him to QRS? Many times I can copy 15-20 WPM call signs when they are repeated three times but can not copy regular conversation that fast..so I end up never answering these CQ's for fear they'll be "insulted" at my 7WPM Farnsworth response or else they'll come back to me at their speed. Thanks!

Thanks for your opinion Lon. I'm glad to hear you do QSL 100%, even w/ SASE. desired. I probably should have used the word courteous rather than rude or low class. Glad to hear your opinion.
I just happen to QSL 100% and I always initiate no matter who started the QSO. That's just me. I don't send SASE's unless it's a special event or DX and I don't expect one either.

AE4TR:
To those who ostracize you, I call them ignorant. Anyone who thinks Echelon is not real is the ignorant one. And anyone who thinks we need MORE fees or a yearly "tax" on our license for "enforement" [which the arrl no doubt will support] can use their own money to pay mine.
Where do you tax tax tax folks want to draw the line with your liberties? Ignorance is no excuse for stupidity.
Yeah I voted Constitution Party if you couldn't tell. I'm no RRat or DRat who both want to tax us to death and give away our sovereignty and liberty a little at a time.

What do you guys think of hams who refuse to return a QSL after you've sent them one? [Domestic]
Personally I think it's very low class and a violation of a strict tradition, not to mention just plain rude. If someone can't afford a few bucks in .23 cent stamps every month, they need to sell that KW linear.
And I'm NOT talking about people who have been looked up thousands of times and DXers or special events, just regular hams and regular QSO's.

Ten-Tec is the best. My 1st HF rig [and only since] was a Ten-Tec Scout 555. Still going strong to this day. They no longer make it so it's lucky I got all the modules I need. When I upgrade to a new HF, if ever, it will be a Ten-Tec Jupiter.
