1  eHam Forums / Clubs / Club Call Usage on: January 14, 2003, 09:54:40 AM
I am interested in definitive information regarding the use of Club Calls on the air, particularly when NOT used at the club location or during a club event.  Once a Trustee allows a club member to use the club call, (within their license privileges) can they use it AND their own?  Example, can the station check into a net as their own call, and also as the club call, or do they need to designate the club call stroke their own call?  I understand that some stations take the club call home for the weekend - and while I'm not sure I understand why they would use the club call when not involved in a club event, I would like to understand the guidelines better for a Net that I belong to.  We are trying to determine how clubs should be permitted to participate within our net without being in conflict with Part 97 or other FCC regs.  We'd like to include clubs as members, but want to make sure we understand how they should be operating.
       - Thanks for any info you can provide!
