eBay.  I saw two EPROM's the other day.

I like KaGold, but the price scares some away ($69 without Pactor/Gtor)  Interflex.com  You can easily have multiple connections, run a conference mode (mini-chat room), and much more.  Runs in Host Mode.

If you're looking for the next best application IMO, would be paKet 6.2.  You can get the URL from a simple Google Search for paKet, or lookup VK2DHU on QRZ.com, the author.  Runs in Command mode, like most.

paKet registration is $25, but there are no Nag screens or anything else that says Unregistered.

I am trying to use KaGold v9.0 with my KPC-3P (The TNC with the GPS built into it) and KaGold will NOT get past the Initializing screen.  It quits to the error box "There seems to be a communications problem"

I can plug a regular KPC-3 into the computer, same cable, same baud, same port settings, and it works fine.

I have v8.3 firmware in the KPC-3P.

Has anyone had this problem?  Know how to fix?  I'm working with Jeff from Interflex on this, but I think it's a software coding issue where it doesn't talk to that version of TNC, or something similar.  It's killin' me, and I don't wanna use another TNC in the truck as I use it for it's GPS features while I'm mobile.
