Its made by JST, www.jst.com and the connector we are after is a ZH 1.5mm pitch type. I have the datasheet if someone wants it.

I have been looking around, but found no SMPS projects with outputs greater than about 400V

Is there any particular reason why SMPS has not been used to generate the anode voltages (about 1.2K) and others using switched mode techniques?

I believe that a 40A power supply (switched I presume) was described in the handbook. Has anyone built this supply? Does anyone have a scan / pdf of it?

Has anyone had problems with this rig making a crackling sound during TX? It does not matter whether you are on high or low power and does not seem to have any adverse effect...however I dont believe it should do this.

Was wondering if anyone is messing around with remote operation. I have moved into a small place where antennas are not welcome.
My cousin though has a massive plot nearby where I can put everything up.

I have seen a few internet connected projects, but I am looking for an UHF/SHF solution. I was even thinking of digitising the voice and tx'ing it to the other end multiplexed with rig commands in a data stream.

Has anyone tried something similar or know of someone who has?
